About InTransition Magazine
InTransition is a semiannual magazine offering articles on transportation issues, research and trends. It is a collaboration between the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). From 1997 to 2004, 12 issues of the magazine were published, reaching several thousand readers nationwide. The magazine resumed publication in Spring 2007 and today reaches subscribers in all 50 states.
InTransition offers information and analysis relevant to researchers, policymakers, engineers, advocates, administrators, planners and others in the transportation field, all written in clear and concise language accessible to a general reader. The magazine emphasizes under-reported research, innovative approaches to addressing transportation problems and the exchange of ideas between academic disciplines.
We hope this magazine and website will serve as a forum for sharing resources and ideas to better meet the many transportation challenges in northern New Jersey and around the nation.
